Celebrate Mother's Day at the Open Air Museum at the Day of Folk Music! More than 40 male and female singers and musicians will meet here.
The day begins with a church service at 11 a.m., with brass players from Rottenbuch providing festive music. From about 12:30 p.m. the folk music groups play music in the historical buildings. In the course of the day there is also the opportunity to join in: at the family singing at 13:45 with fun songs for children, parents and grandparents, at the convivial singing of tavern songs in the Glentleitner Wirtschaft & Brauerei from 3 p.m.; and finally at the end of the day you can still sing German and Bavarian folk songs together (around 16:30).
The folk music care of the district of Upper Bavaria also offers CDs and sheet music for sale throughout the day, provides information about its work and has free song booklets for everyone to sing along.
