Discover a traditional Bavarian Advent at the Glentleiten Christmas Market

Join us from November 29th to December 1st at the Glentleiten Open Air Museum, nestled in the beautiful Bavarian Alpine foothills, for a distinctive outdoor Christmas experience.

Local Artisans, Handcrafted Delights: Browse handcrafted treasures from over 70 local artisans and find unique items that make for special and memorable gifts.

Alpine Roots, Centuries-Old Tradition: Experience a traditional ‘Perchten’ Runon, an ancient pagan festival rooted in central European folklore, where a parade of devil-like creatures expels winter's malevolent spirits.

Entertainment for All Ages: Enjoy daily performances of atmospheric Advent music and traditional tunes played by brass or alphorn players. Delight in the aromas of freshly baked bread in the historic bakery and experience the traditional craft of distilling Glentleitner fruit schnaps.

Children can participate in daily workshops, from creative crafting to gingerbread decorating.

• Opening Hours: Friday & Saturday: 11 a.m. - 8 p.m., Sunday: 11 a.m. - 6 p.m.
• Travel and Parking: Limited parking available; All visitors are kindly requested to park at “Haupt- und Landgestüt Schwaiganger” and use the free shuttle buses to and from the museum. Shuttle operates until 8 p.m. (Fri & Sat) and 6 p.m. (Sun).
• Admission:
  • Adults: reduced entry fee of €5
  • Children (up to 15): free of charge
