Bavaria is economy! The imagination of the country as a place of longing also depends on how it is advertised. The Munich brewers did not only spy on the latest techniques after 1800 in England. At the World's Fair, they also learned what a huge role marketing plays when it comes to success.

It was they who invented the myth of Bavaria. Long before the slogan "laptop and lederhosen" existed, Bayern tried to achieve progress by tradition. Today, Bavaria is a place of longing not only because of the landscapes, but also because of the diverse work opportunities in the economy.

The exhibition of the House of Bavarian History (commissioned by the Bavarian State Ministry of Economics, Energy and Technology) shows how this came about - with many Bavarian productions, new discoveries and the premiere of a media station, which compares every Bavarian town in comparison to 1900 and today.
