Did you know?

From 1879, owner Joseph Jaud (IV) ran his own distillery which his son Joseph Jaud (V) continued up until the 1950s. This contributed significantly to their income. They distilled in the kitchen in the autumn and winter seasons. The family produced spirits to sell using fruit, gentian and juniper. The fruit came from their own garden, while the gentian roots and juniper berries were bought. Customers came from the local area, but holiday guests were also happy to buy it as a spicy souvenir. They could even have the schnapps sent by post on request.
