Our buildings

This house, with its adjoining horse stable, was originally part of a four-sided farm, the buildings of which were largely destroyed by a fire in 1942. Built in 1566 using parts of an older building (late 15th century), the house was preserved and given to the museum.

Did you know?

The stable fittings were not restored and the building is now used by the museum for events. Typical furnishings from the second half of the 19th century are on display in the remaining rooms of the “Michl” building. Two beds from the 1790s are presented in one of the chambers on the upper floor, painted by the renowned furniture painter Michael Böheim from Aibling.
