The “Brunnerkaser” building is a round-timber log cabin with shingle roof. The “Kaserstöckl” building was erected in 1507 as part of an "all-around" cabin and so well preserved for more than 500 years because it was situated in the interior and therefore protected from the weather. It was moved to the outer wall for the first time during a conversion in 1787 and a window was added to allow daylight in. The cheesemaking cabin served as a lower mountain pasture and was worked until 1967.
