The Fischbach mill belonged to an agricultural property with an imposing estate and was a mill which people paid to use, so it was not only the miller’s own grain which was ground, but mainly that of the surrounding farms. Local farmers brought their grain to the miller and had to pay to have it milled. Water power was used from 1916 to generate power for the adjacent house, stable and mill using a generator.
