Fish
Fishing has a long tradition in Bavaria, which is shaped by mutual interaction between people and nature. As early as 1908, the communities which were later to become the Bavarian districts appointed community itinerant teachers of fishing in order to maintain and foster this old craft. This resulted in the specialist fishing advisory service provided by the districts today.
Wild carp and tenches swim in the museum’s artificial ponds. These fish species like warm and shallow fresh water.
