Tips for Visiting

Dogs

Dogs are welcome to the open air museum, but please put them on a tight leash. Admission is free. For the removal of dog mess you will receive small bags free of charge.

Guided Tours for Individual Visitors "Sunday at the Museum"

The society "Friends of the Museum" invite individual visitors every Sunday and every bank holiday as well as every wednesday during the Bavarian summer holidays to take part in a free guided tour at 11.00 a.m.

Shopping

Kramerladen Auslage

The museum’s shop in the entrance building offers a wide range of products of high quality which are typical of Upper Bavaria aswell as merchandise from the Glentleiten. Besides unusual gifts you will also find scientific publications, catalogues and books about Bavarian history and culture.

Souvenirs and oddities can be found in the Kramerladen. Handmade ceramics are sold by the pottery of the museum.

Smoking

Due to high fire hazard smoking is not permitted on the complete area of the museum with the exception of the beer gardens.

Taking Photos and Making Films

Taking photos and making films in the museum is permitted for private purposes. Any commercial use is subject to prior consent of the Director of the museum.
