The "Big Baa" - Sheepday

The rare sheep breeds Jezersko–Solčava, Bergschaf (Mountain Sheep) and Alpine Steinschaf (Alpine Stone Sheep) graze on our fields in the warmer seasons.

The Working Group for coloured Bergschaf sheep breeds is excited to present their club's finest animals! Come and discover the range of products that sheep can produce, such as milk, cheese, wool, felt, fur and meat. You can even see sheep being shorn and wool being spun. Don't forget to treat yourself to some specialities made from sheep products in the museum's restaurant.
