The Bichl farm, which is one of the oldest buildings at the museum along with the Brunnerkaser building (A2), was built entirely out of wood in 1508 in today's cubic form - the living quarters in log assembly and the working quarters in a boarded, timber-framed construction.

The southern Chiemgau region is a popular elite hunting destination to this day and the Wieselberg hut was built as prestigious lodging for wealthy hunting guests in 1897. When the annex for foresters and woodsmen was built in 1954, a new social group moved into the mountain hut. Both functions, workers' accommodation and hunting lodge, are clearly separated.

When the building was taken on by the Open Air Museum in 1991, it had seen no essential structural change for approximately 90 years. The furnishings had barely been modernised since then, either, and the well and baking house were still in place. This rare integrity means that the Weber house is a special historical record.

The colourful design of the building, dating from the second half of the 19th century, is remarkable. As there was barely anything left of the original furnishings, the focus here was on reconstructing the colourful interior and exterior walls for the purposes of presentation. What remained of the previous interior design is on display, as well as a few personal effects.

The «Hainzenkaser» building is one of a very small number of authentic, preserved cabins with internal living quarters. In this seemingly archaic building type, the living and working quarters are surrounded on all four sides by stables. This is why there are no windows in the cabin, with the only daylight reaching the interior via an open door.

The farm from Schönau was taken on by the Open Air Museum in 1988,
and with it more than 1,400 original fixtures. Today, the building and furnishings vividly convey what life was like on a small farm in and around the year 1960, by which time it had already been affected by tourism for many decades.
